Payam Dehkordi: We Have Special Programs in Children Theatre Festival In Memory of Gaza’s Children

Payam Dehkordi, director of Hamedan Children and Young Adult Theatre Festival talked to Iran Theater about aggregation of the festival organizers in front of UN building on 19^th August and said: “Aggregation in front of UN building in Tehran was the task that we could do to support undefended people of Gaza and sacrificing their children and announcing these unforgivable criminals.”

 “These acts will have influences. Being I harmony of artists worldwide may cause that everybody be informed about this wound and suffer. The common specialty of all the art family is that they are the child of their time and react to the phenomenon around and they are not indifference.” He added.

The Director of Hamedan Children and Young Adult Theatre Festival talked about unforgivable acts that had happened in Gaza especially murdering children and said: “Killing children is hating in every corner of the world and by every system and government. Killing of children means killing of innocence and bearing of this catastrophe with existence of mothers of the world will be harder and more intolerable.”

Dehkordi said with emphasis on this point that all the artists have reactions to the catastrophes which happened in Gaza: “I think it was my duty to be present with all the organizing staffs of the festival in front of UN building to show my opposition with killing undefended people of Gaza. However, I wish that the light of wisdom and knowledge shine to all dictators and authorities to be not the witnesses of such events more that it. That was the less task we could do.”

He talked about the festival respecting and memorizing to what has happened for children of Gaza and said: “In the first step, the overall look we had to all the parts of the 21^st festival is based on quality. Many discussions and talks we had to friends and artists in the children field and there were many suggestions at there.”

 “when we decide to allocate a part to an important and crucial subject like Gaza’s Children we should do something in their dignity. Some ideas were propound for tribute children of Gaza from artists of Tehran and other provinces but the priority will be with artistic activities which have high qualities and memorize people and children of Gaza.” Director of Hamedan Children and Young Adult Theatre Festival added:

21^st Hamedan International Children and Young Adult Theatre Festival will be held in Hamedan from October 4^th to 10^th 2014.
