Pinocchio Becomes Man Another Time

Iran Theater- The famous story of Carlo Cloudy which is the story of changing a wooden doll into a man names Pinocchio has been the inspiration and adaptation source for many fields like literature, cinema, theatre and fine arts from the very early after its first publication in 1881 in one Italian magazine.

Recently, Mohammadreza Maleki, an Iranian Director has brought a play for children and young adults to stage based on Pinocchio story in Tehran Honar Hall. Its text was written by Azadeh Dastmalchi that according to Maleki they tried to keep the main storyline but some characters have changed.

This director mentions to the main story which includes many occurrences and talked about small stories which has shown in the play and said: “All the small stories in the book were fascinating and I tried to choose parts that help our theatre in performing. Pinocchio is a long story and I chose a survey to show it in a right way.

Pinocchio play with acting Maryam Ashouri, Ali Barouti, Mohammad Berahmani, Mohammad Ali Hosseinalipour, Milad Ramezani, Saeed Abedi, and Morvarid Mehr is performing in Tehran Honar Hall from 25^th August.
