Two Performances of One Play with Iranian and Armenian Actors/Zahak with Snakes on Shoulders on the Stage of Vahdat Hall

Morteza Mir Montazami who will take “p2” play on stage in Tehran Hafez Hall informed about its public performance with Armenian cast in that country.

Iran Theater- This play that was performed in 32nd Fadjr International Theatre Festival (Late of January 2014) with common presence of Iranian and Armenian cast now starts its public performances with some changes from August 30th.

Some of these changes are like that in Tehran the play just will be performed with acting Iranian actors. Mir Montazami, director of “p2” mentioned to the reason of this change that they are because of some financial problems also simultaneous public performance of it in Tehran and holding the Highfest festival of Armenia. Of course he emphasized that the play will go on stage in Armenian with Armenian actors after Tehran’s performances.

 “p2” is a new narrative of the story of Zahak from Ferdowsi Epopee (940-1018). This myth which belongs to pre-history of Iran is about the story of Zahak who killed his father and then be the commander of Arvand River and then attacked Iran.  “p2” play written by Abbas Jamali and directed by Morteza Mir Montazami with acting Azadeh Samadi, Abbas Jamali, Ehsan Karami, Hossein Omidi, Farzaneh Soheili, Aida Sadeghi, Mohammad Allah Dadi, Bijan Seraji, Mohammad Moazzeni, and Rashid Aghayi will be performed from August 30th to October 3rd in Hafez Hall and then will be performed in Armenia.
