Why Slawomir Mrozek Is Being Liked In Iran?
Dariush Moadabian, Iranian veteran director and translator believes that “Na pełnym morzu” written by Slawomir Mrozek that performed in Iran for many times an these days is on stage with directing Parsa Pirouzfar is very welcomed by Iranian theatre lovers because of its form and content.
Iran Theater- Dariush Moaddabian who directed ““Na pełnym morzu” for TV theatre also on stage emphasized on different translations of this text to Farsi talked about the reason why Slawomir Mrozek Is Being Liked In Iran and said: “I guess the first reason is that this play talks about an archetype and its characters are symbolic and they have ability of popularization in different geographies. In fact, characters and situations of the play can be seen in every society and people of the play are representatives of different classes of society. All of us can feel the wonder of the characters of the play.”
The theatre teacher, translator and director who directed and translated other works of Mrozek continued: “another attracting thing in this text is hidden in type of comedy and grotesque situation that it had to talk about exaggeration and pulling over of social bezels. Of course in the way that not leads to a dissonance.”
Moaddabian also points to the simple atmosphere of the play which contains set designing and added: “the play gives opportunity to actors to show themselves in grotesque situation that I said. Usually actors like grotesque because they can blossom.”
Works of Polish Slawomir Mrozek (1930-2003) including play, cartoon, criticism, short story and novel. Slawomir Mrozek was introduced in Iran by publishing “Elephant” short story complex in 1967. In recent years beside of his short stories many of his plays were translated to Farsi and went to stage in Tehran and other Iran provinces.
Now, “Na pełnym morzu” with directing Parsa Pirouzfar is performing in Iranshahr Theatre Hall.
