Wish for Global Peace in Carnival of Tehran Puppet Theatre Festival
15th Tehran Puppet Theatre Festival-Mobarak will be started with puppets’ carnival and wishing for the better world for all children.
Iran Theater- Hengameh Mofid the veteran theatre artist and head of puppeteers association of House of Theatre who programmed this carnival with Mitra Karimkhani invited all artists and fans of puppet theatre to participate in this carnival with their puppets.
She said: “we invite all the puppet artists even those who have not work in this edition of the festival to participate in this carnival with their puppets. Also we invite all families to participate in this ceremony with their children and their dolls.”
This veteran theatre artist with showing her worry for the very bad conditions of Gaza children added: “every catastrophe which happens for children of every corner of the world will suffer us because part of emotions of every artist is belonged to children who will be our audience in future, so, we will show some slogans on placards on the opening day of the festival to show our friendship with these children.”
Mofid added:”in the puppet carnival slogans like Sky of puppet and Blue Sky, Wish of Dolls is global, full of peace and calmness for children, with hope to set smile on the lips of Gaza children. World of children is not suit for war and cruelty. These slogans will be shown on placards”
As she said the carnival of puppets will start on Saturday September 13th at 5 p.m. from front of house of doll in Palestine street and then artists will gather in the yard of City Theatre Complex with their puppets.
Artists and audience of puppet theatre will go to theatre halls after Iran national anthem in the yard of City Theatre Complex to be audience if the first day of the festival.
