Uneducated philosophers from a children film director point of view

 A theatre director believes that children are uneducated philosophers with minds full of questions so children’s theatre must be equipped by artistic techniques.

According to Iran theatre, Ali Pakdast insisted on indirect approach of theatre to convey its proposed message and said, “A good theatre’s director and writer in children genre ought to have an indirect approach for influencing its audiences through especial techniques.”

He added, “Using proper light, scene decoration, and music based on the play are influential in affecting the audiences.”

Referring to the festival’s slogan he stated, “in the society, anyone has one’s own identity, so the amount of pleasure of this identity must be measured and a role should be made based on that”,director of “Pumpkin Girl” added.

Expressing difficulties of working in children genre, Pakdas said, “director of children genre should know about artistic techniques and considering children physiology, the one who is working in this genre should be aware of his/her audiences interests. ”

21th international festival for children and young adults theatre will be hold from 7th to 13th October, 2014.
