70 countries in children and young adults’ theatre festival, Hamedan

Secretary of  21st children and young adults’ theatre festival in Hamedan said that 70 countries have submitted their works to the festival.

According to Irantheatre, pointing to the remarkable non-Iranian countries cooperation and interactions said, “nearly 70 countries have submitted their works to the festival’s office. Since quality is the main focus of this festival, we have talked to 20 theatre groups and we will invite them to be present in the festival.”

Dehkordi added, “The selected works are mostly stage performances. One of my main concerns is selecting those works with high techniques and creativity to make a new wave in Children theatre.”

Explaining about the general approach of this festival he said, “We are following a reformist approach which in we try to reform and correct new sections while keeping our previous achievements. I should insist, we are following a professional and research base approach in all of the festivals’ sections.”

This cinema, television and theatre artist also added, “We have focused on quality in this festival. I believe that theatre and media art require treatment and education and I believe that you can teach all of the scientific topics through theatre. By theatre, we can eliminate crimes, depressions and thousands of mental disorders which nowadays young generation is suffering from.”
