Othello performed in an Iranian bath

“Ave” theatre group have performed a different narration of William shakespear’s Othello called “O The Lo!”

According to Irantheatre, directed by Amir Afshari and inspired by shakespear’s Othello, this theatre is benefited from Clown techniques and body gestures.

Soheil Arabi and Amir Afshari re-wrote and dramaturg the original play and have made a funny tragedy.

Soheil Arabi, Reza Musavi, Ali Bigdeli, Neda Asghari are acting in this work. Roxana Ghari is the director’s assistant and Shahr-e-Novin company is producer of this theatre.

“Ave” theatre hall is an old Iranian bath which is used as the performance stage for this work. Iranian baths have known as Turkish baths in the world after Ottomans used their architecture. Distinguished architecture of these baths in “Ave” theatre has made an especial performance hall for especial works.

Previously, this theatre group has hosted the famous theatre director Vladimir Stoyevsky in International Fajr Theatre Festival.
