8 countries in 9th international street theatre festival in Marivan
Professional and stylistic street theatre groups from 8 countries have submitted their works to 9th international street theatre festival in Marivan, Iran.
According to Iran theatre, general manager of culture and Islamic guidance in Kurdistan and secretary of 9th international street theatre festival in Marivan, Hojat-el- Islam Rahim Jafari stated, “the most remarkable goals of this festival are using potential cultural diplomacy in international relations, promoting peace in the world especially in middle east, introducing culture and Islamic values of Kurdistan people and Iranians to the whole world.”
Pointing to the participating countries in the festival, he said, “Portugal, Spain, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Poland, Iraq Kurdistan have submitted their street theatre works to the festival’s office. Significantly, we have received works from well-known and stylistic countries in street theatre. ”
Secretary of 9th international street theatre festival added, “after proposed assessments, out of these 8 countries, 5 will be selected for the festival.”
9th international street theatre festival will be held from October 17 2014 in Marivan, Iran.
