Spanish Artists Have Been Influenced by Happy and Warm Atmosphere of Hamedan Childeren and Young Adults Theatre Festival

Artists of Spain theatre whose big jiraf pupets made the difference space in opening ceremony of Hamedan Childeren and Young Adults Theatre Festival explained the festival as happy and warm one and said that they feel great to be here in Iran.

Iran Theatre- Mark Gustav and Camile Vernaza are actors of "Jiraf" theatre band from Spain who participated in international section of Hamedan Childeren and Young Adults Theatre Festival.

Mark Gustav said about performance technique and making the play: "This work is an outdoor play and it is performed by three big Jiraf dolls aso it's not belonged to a specific age category. Size if these dolls is very interesting for children and usually children love animals which are not wild. Also they are able to touch them and have reaction too. Because of these reasons this play is communicative for all ages especially for very young children."

Gustav pointed to process of making these dolls and explained:" At first heads and then body of these dolls are made. Then after we tried to behave like a real jiraf. We saw their treatment from close or considered their  reactios in documentaries. Then we tried to walk with sticks inside them.in this play there are three jiraf which two of them are big and one is small that is in fact their child."

camile Veranda another executive assistant talked about history of the play and said:" three years ago we decided to perform it based on a traditional Christian ceremony. In this ceremony three animals like kings start to walk. The company that we are working in it decided to make an animal with tall height, so we decided to make jiraf. Music of the play is special and it is played by Island musical instruments."

She said about familiarity with Iran and it's dramatic art:" We didn't know about Iran and we became familiar and participated in the festival by Spanish company which participatd last year in the festival. We didn't know that such a festival is being held in Iran but now that we are here and see other countries' plays and types of their worked, we feel so happy and content. Street theatre is very old in Spain and is belonged to people. It must be the same in Iran too. Undoubtedly, exchange information and performance's techniques is one  of the most important events. There are many things that we should learn them and vice versa."

21st Hamdan International Children and Young Adults Theatre Festival is being held with directing Payam Dehkordi from 5-13  October 2014.
