Performing Theatre by Using Computer Games/ Italian Director Talks about Butterflies&#039 Birth

Director of "Butterflies" emphasized that he does not want to introduce a new computer game to his audiences but the only important thing for him is transmiting passions.

Iran Theatre- Fransisco Gendi, Italian writer and director of "Butterflies" who is participant of 21st Hamedan International Children and Young Adults Theatre Festival talkes about the process of forming this play and said:"In Paris there is a place named House of butterflies. When I went there and I saw how cocoons change to butterflies, the very primary idea of the play was formed."

He continued: "In fact the main idea is that children become aware of nature and the issue of creation. Especially to the birth of butterflies and exploring good and beautiful things which are existance in the world."

This Italian director said that he profitted of different forms in performance and pointed: "I started theatre since many years ago and I mostly work on form, setting, and movements and I tried  to use other forms in my work too."

Director of "Butterflies"explained about computer techniques which were used in the play and said: "We like to cut any other relationship between the atmosphere of this play and computer game and we do not want to introduce a new computer game. In fact our aim is not form but emotion of the play. Reaction is very important. Sometimes after 300 performances I still feel to be affected. I hope to make such a feeling in my audience too."

Gendi also explained about essentiality of using technology in this play and said: "The technology is important because we transmit feelings by audio-visual things and as soon as power is off, these feelings will be demonished too. We can perform the play without technology in another way too but in this shape, using technology is necessary."

At the end he said that:" The play has been performed in many countries of the world like all states of USA. We also had many invitations from Asia too. Actually this play is like the CV of our theatre band and as soon as you hear the name of the group you will remind the name of this play too."
