Director of Azerbaijan Republic: Marivan People Are the Best Outdoor Theatre Audience of the World
A theatre director from Azerbaijan Republic believes that Marivan people are good audience and gives motivation to every artist who participated in this festival in the border city.
Iran Theatre-9th Marivan International Outdoor Theatre Festival was started its work with presence of three countries’ groups from Iraq Kurdistan, Azerbaijan Republic and Armenia. “Aji Maji Tarraji” is one of the theatre from Azerbaijan Republic directed by Entegham Soltan which acting three actors.
“Aji Maji La Tarraji” is non-dialogue theatre that based on actors’ movements, music and magic. The audience communicated with the work very well and even became company with actors in some scenes. The only question which asks by audience was using magic works and colorful role of entertainment also not having compiled storyline. In this way Entegham said: “The theatre you see is the thing that I’ve learned and believed. I believe that street local theatre is not the place for saying philosophical things. Presence of audience, communication, having their company and seeing and enjoying are my goals from a performance.”
This theatre director and actor pointed to different performances of his works in European countries with various audience and said:”Marivan people are very intelligent and motivating. I have had many perfpormances in Russia, it has many theatre schools but its people are not like Marivan’s people. While Iran has not theatre schools like Russia but the festival and its annually holding have made people familiar with outdoor theatre. I participated in the festival last year too. This year I drive more than 1200 KM with my group and my only motivation were Marivan people because they are the best theatre audience in the world.”
9th Marivan International Outdoor Theatre Festival is being held under directorship of Hojjat-al Islam Jafari from 17th to 22th October 2014.
