For Smiles of Majid/Rakhshan Bani Etemad’s Note In Memory of Majid Bahrami

Many of Iranian artists cherished memory of Majid Bahrami a recent defunct Iranian cinema and theatre actor with giving speeches or sending messages.
Iran Theatre- Rakhshan Bani Etemad, the Iranian cinema well-known director wrote a note about her familiarity and cooperation with this young actor. The cinema director considered Majid Bahrami as a talented and capable actor and nobody saw his sad face in scene of real life while he had cancer.
The complete text of the note is:
“This point that Majid was a capable and talented actor is indeed. His memories in cinema and theatre are enough and remained. Also telling the point that memory of his presence in the time if making “Gilaneh” in meadows of Norowzabad and Espeeli Daylaman makes me heartache will be useless. But we have many things to say about MAjid and his resistance art, talk and talk, write and write and learn. This point that how he could fight artistically and bravely face to face with cruel monster which attached him. This point that in climax of his sickness that destroying effects of the medicines destroyed his face he was still dominant and hopeful to convey his monster-like opponent. The point that how he carried his tired soul after hard process of his treatment on the stage and recorded the miracle of his presence in “Strange of Creatures” in our memories.
The last time I saw him in his photo exhibition, that enthusiasm, that eternal smile and his eyes’ light which chocked hatred in my throat; “Welcome dear Rakhshan”. I couldn’t talk and I said to myself that how you are kid and Majid was still talking and laughing. I couldn’t stay more and I left without saying goodbye.
His role in “Gilaneh” was short but was so sweet. Long days of being in war-injured dormitory and his shining acting in bus sequence which surprised all of us. He cried and cried in the coldness of midnight beside the road. I just saw his innocent eyes in cry just that time.”
