Complications of Yasmina Reza’s “Spanish Play” from Iranian Actress’s Look

Iran Theatre- Shaghayegh Dehghan, actress of “Spanish Play” which is directed by Shiva Ordouyi in Main Hall of Nivaran Cultural House explained about complications of the text of this play: “ This text is more complicated than other Yasmina Reza’s texts and it is actually play in play. I play the act of a depressed actress named Orlya who is jealous of her sister’s situation because she didn’t become successful.”

The actress who is famous in Iranian TV and before the play she had only another theatrical experience pointed to many rehearse sessions they had and added: “Beside rehearses we had with the band, I did my own practices too to communicate better with the text. That was necessary for me that I didn’t play in theatres during years.”

“There is much vitality in the play that I can say that every night I feel it after finishing the performance, especially when I see that my audience can communicate with it.” Shaghayegh Dehghan said.

“Spanish Play” written by Yasmina Reza, directed by Shiva Ordouyi and Acting of Ramin Naser Nasir, Farzaneh Neshatkhah, Mazdak Rostami, Shaghayegh Dehghan and Bahareh Rahnama is performing in the Main Hall of Nivaran Cultural House of Tehran.
