Iran Theatre- Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s “Eisenstein’s Betray” is a French play which has a comic language and is about the moral struggle of a genius man who is the inventor of world destroying machine in spite of his intention.
Story of the play is about visiting of two strange people in beach of a lake in New Jersey. One of them is Eisenstein, 20th Century genius and another one is a rover isolated from society.
In this meeting, Eisenstein introduces his difficult situation. As a peace activist he is very aware of the results of his invention and he is afraid of producing the first atom bomb by Hitler and Nazis. Must he deny his beliefs and inform Roosevelt that USA be the winner of reaching to a deadly weapon? He as a German, as a left fan…maybe a betrayer, who evoked FBI suspicion must be fan of whom?
