Performing Pierre Robber Lokerek’s “Sentinels” Directing by Mohammad Reza Khaki in City Theatre Complex

Dr. Mohammad Reza Khaki said that Pierre Robber Lokerek’s “Sentinels” is a simple text that talks about a serious issue with comic language.
Iran Theatre- Mohammad Reza Khaki that took his PhD degree in theatre from Sorbon University and now is the professor of Tarbiyat Modarres University of Tehran wants to perform Pierre Robber Lokerek’s “Sentinels” in Charsoo Hall of City Theatre Complex.
He introduces the playwright and says: “Pierre Robber Lokerek is one of the contemporary playwrights of France who is famous because of his radio plays. Of course he has several stage plays too that “Sentinels” is the most important one. Pierre Robber Lokerek wrote this play in 1998 and has been performed in Loloserner Hall of France.”
“This play is so simple; it has a comic language but talks about a serious issue. The subject is something that we everyday face to it as soon as turning on TV. The event that maybe became routine in our life which is war phenomenon. The play has not direct point to it and has a satirical metaphor to it, in fact, it is a peaceful play.” Khaki continued
The theatre director notes that actors are the center of this play and says: “The play has no complication and the only specialty of this is acting. “
Actors, their potential and that making something have an important role in the play. Characteristic has no complication and in fact, actors must reach to a determined definition to their characters. The satire is the result of situation and character and having dialogues with them because one of them is an experienced one and another one is a pure amateur.”
Dr. Khaki said about the story of “Sentinels”: “The play is about two fictional countries named Rome and More. A struggle between queen of Rome and president of More for dotty fishes happen, so a war starts.”
“Sentinels” directed by Dr. Mohammad Reza Khaki and acting Vahid Nafar, Alireza Nasehi, Behnam Sharafi, Mohammad Roshani, Bijan Moharrami, Sara Afshar and Alireza Madani will be performed in Charsoo Hall of City Theatre Complex from November 30th.
