Director of “Arkansaw Bear”: Child Audience Won’t Enjoy Without Music

Mehdi Moghimi Esfand Abadi, Director of “Arkansaw Bear” with emphasis on role of music in transmitting concepts of drama pointed to using music as an element that without it child audience won’t enjoy.
Iran Theatre- Esfand Abadi said about the text of the play: “Arkansaw Bear” written by Aurand Harris has a fascinating drama; the text is for the first time being performed in Iran.”
“Recorded music was used very limited in the play and I mostly emphasized on using live music in it. Music is the essential of children theatre and without it they feel bored.” Moghimi talked about music.
He pointed to the importance of music in transmitting concepts of the play and said: “Music has an inevitable role in transmitting concepts to audience; but for being effective the director music use it in right place in order to be coherent with the drama. In this play, the role of music has been as much as important that we have determined sections for using music from very first and the composer composed music based on the orders of those parts.”
