Suggestion of Forming Common Council In Meeting of Culture Ministry with Theatre Artists
Ali Jannati, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance met and talked with Iranian theatre artists on Sunday 11th Jan.
Iran Theatre- Ali Jannati, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the meeting with presence of Ali Moradkhani (Art Deputy of minister), Morteza Kazemi (Culture and Art Advisor of minister), Ardeshir Salehpour (Head of dramatic arts center and director of 33rd Fajr International Theatre Festival), Mehdi Shafeei (Programming advisor of minister’s deputy), Ali Nasirian (Veteran artists), Iraj Rad (CEO of House of Theatre), Ali Montazeri (one of the formest managers of dramatic arts center), Majid Sarsangi (CEO of House of Iranian Artists), Aireza Naderi (playwright and director), and Hossein Mosafer Astaneh (Theatre director) was held, different problems of Iranian theatre were discussed.
In the meeting, experts talked about horizon, goals and programs of Iranian theatre and for strengthening and making Iranian theatre powerful they suggested forming a common joint council. They emphasized on this issue that comments of artists must be considered for strengthening theatre.
In continuing the meeting the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance thanked all the artists and hoped that with interactivity of family of Iranian theatre, next year we will be witnesses of progress in Iranian theatre with focusing on Iranian culture and National Identity.”
Ali Jannati, pointed to preparing programs in form of short- term, middle-term and long-term ones for developing Iranian theatre and added: “we should focus on our elaborated rich theatre which is based on Islamic-Iranian culture continuously beside profiting from world theatre.
Also, in this meeting programs of the 33rd Fadjr Theatre Festival with directorship of Ardeshir Salehpour which is held from 21st January to 1st February 2015 were discussed.
At the end of the meeting Ali Jannati, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance emphasized on supporting theatre and said :”We will have more meetings with artists, we will illuminate their problems and we will try for gathering family of theatre around each other.”
