Ali Jannati: We Need Theatre Which Has Rich Cultural Functions without Clichés

Iran Theatre:

 “In a society which its general base is affected from rich religion and civilization and clan to religious beatifications; undoubtedly art of theatre is very essential and it is counted as public supreme awareness for achieving great humanistic goals and for sure in today world which suffers from thoughtlessness, cruelty, and moral anarchism we need theatre more than any time to have cultural rich functions and have eternal effect in stenghening beliefs and growth of personal and social intellectuality away from regular clichés.

But the condition for doing the responsibility in the best way is having a right look to body of dramatic works because the hidden thoughts in every dramatic text is guaranteeing or treating its eternality or mortality. Theatre lives in a small limited scene but gives movements, make movement and it can change each doubt to a magnificent belief with its spiritual power.

From this window, we can have expectations of a revolution with message of independence and freedom in shadow of Islamic culture and thoughts with supporting of worthy artistic activities like theatre also profiting from its wide capacity to have more development and growth in Islamic revolutionary Fadjr theatre festivals.

I thank all the Iranian great artists, veterans, young students specially those who participated in 33^rd festival and I ask God to be able to work for Islamic Iran’s culture and art for everybody.”

33^rd Fadjr Theatre Festival with directorship of Ardeshir Salehpour will be held from 21^st January to 1^st February 2015.
