The Artist Who Never Felt His Sickness on Stage

Funeral of Bahram Rayhani, the Iranian active artists of dramatic arts and pantomime was held in front of Vahdat Hall with presence of artists, art managers, people and his fans, and his family on Thursday February 27th.
Iran Theatre- The young artist who had cancer and fought for about a year with finally passed away on Tuesday 25th February with presence of artists, art managers, people and his fans, and his family.
In the funeral which was held on Thursday February 27th number of artists, art managers, people and his fans, and his family members talked.
Mehdi Sha’fiee, General Manager of Iran Art Dramatic Center in his speech said his condolences of death of the young Iranian artist to Iran theatre and art society and added: “Bahram Rayhani had performance even in last month. His last performance was in 33rd Fadjr Theatre Festival. I told him to not delay your chemotherapy for your performance, your health is much more important. But he answered me that when I’m on stage I never feel my sickness as if I’m not sick anymore. Bahram Rayhani was the artist who knew theatre and understood it.”
In continuing the funeral, Iraj Rad, General Manager of Iran House of Theatre expressed his condolences and said that the only way for eliminating cancer is supporting of people. He pointed to activities of Bahram Rayhani in different fields while he had cancer and said: “Bahram left us. He was present exactly here in funeral of Majid Bahrami with Oxygen capsule but now he left us so soon.”
Alireza Naderi, the veteran playwright reminded Bahram Rayhani with reading some pages of his diary; memories of his early days of fighting with this sickness until his last days of his life.
The artist who lost his son few months ago because of cancer told Bahram Rayhani’s sisters that: “What we need is not tolerance but patience.”
Bahram Rayhani’s sisters also talked with a great tie in their throats about their dead brother. Yalda Rayhani pointed that he will be always resent in the hearts of his friends, fans and his family and said: “Today it is not the funeral of Bahram. Bahram will be always and live with us.”
She added that the only ask of his brother was supporting children with cancer and continued: “It was his only ask. With 40 degrees fever and so many wounds on his body he performed theatre to help them. I ask principles to help them for the sake of Bahram.”
His sister pointed to his thoughts and said: “ Bahram always said that don’t be a woman or a man but be a human. I ask you to respect to his words.”
