Performing a Play on Anniversary of Great Prophet’s Daughter in Tehran

“Dust” the Ritual-religious play written by Anoush Moazzami and directed by Mohammad Rez MAddahian is being performed in Vahdat Hall of Tehran for Fatemiyeh Days (Anniversary of Great Prophet’s Daughter)
Iran Theatre- Mohammad Reza Maddahian pointed to process of his work and said: “I searched for a good text for a while which has religious concepts while be attractive for today audience and then I found “Dust”.”
“The play talks about people who live in our today society; people who lost in themselves and categorized themselves as religious and faithful people while they are not.”
“If we even don’t want to mention the religious side of the play, it also attracts audience because it portraits people who are in contact with us every day. In performing also we tried to be away from clichés and have new atmosphere.”
In “Dust” Jahangir Almasi, Mirtaher Mazloumi, Atash Taghipour, Mohammad Sareban, Sirous Kahourinezhad, Manouchehr Alipour, Anoush Moazami, Hossein Kashfi, Ali Karimi and Yahya Irandoust are acting.
Great Fatemeh (A.S) was daughter of great prophet of Islam (PBUH) and wife of Imam Ali (A.S) the first Caliph of Shiite. She has been martyred in 18 years old only 95 days after the death of his father in order to some events like the attack to her home. “Dust” play has a new look to her spiritual heritage with referencing to historical and contemporary events.
