A Cartoon of Society in “Cooking Adventure of Bichareh Rostam Abadi”

Iran Theatre- Mohammad Nourvash, director of “Cooking Adventure of Bichareh Rostam Abadi” talked about the subject of the play: “The play looks to living situation of people in a place named Rostam Abad. Cartoony vision of the play with its satiric language does social pathology.”

 “Rostamabad a fictional place and the brainchild of the writer but you can find from love to social bitter problems at there. Our story begins when somebody named Bichareh becomes cooker in this town and something happens for him.” He added.

The director explained about profiting from Iranian traditional theatre style in performing“Cooking Adventure of Bichareh Rostam Abadi” and said: “It was a new experience for me. I really liked to direct a work in Iranian traditional theatre; a play which has social satirein its heart.”

“On the other hand I always liked to direct a play in Sangelaj hall which is the base of Iranian traditional theatre. When you see the history of this hall you will see that the 50-years efforts of many of Iranian great theatre artists in it.” Nourvash added.

Gholam Hossein Bahrami, Keramat Roudsaz, Siavash Cheraghipour, Ali Bigham, Ensiyeh Ramezani, Roza Khalili, Mohammad Alayi, and Danial Nourvash are actors of the play. Also Mona Golpayegani is costume designer and Hamidreza Bolourchi is composer of it.

“Cooking Adventure of Bichareh Rostam Abadi” written by Mohammad Mosavat and directed by Mohammad Ali Nourvash is being performed every night in Sanglej Theatre Hall at 7:30 p.m.
