Homa Rousta: I’m Glad that Theatre Is Still Alive/ “Taming of the Shrew” Starts to Perform

“Taming of the Shrew” Starts to perform directed by Maryam Kazemi from Sunday night among a warm community of artists, press representatives and fans but Homa Rousta rang the start of the play as the veteran actress of Iranian theatre.
Iran Theatre- In the ceremony which was held on Sunday night April 4th in Iranshahr Theatre Hall of Tehran, number of theatre artists like Behrouz Baghayi, Mohammad Reza Khaki, Asghar Hemmat, Nasser Aghayi, Hadi Marzban, Hassan Ma’ajouni attended.
Maryam Kazemi who directed the play also is acting as an actress spoke with her audiences at the beginning of the ceremony with her special make-up and thanked the artists and guests.
After her speech, Homa Rousta starts to talk and said: “I’m very glad to be here with you and theatre is still alive and has its audience. This is very pleasant for me.
After Homa Rousta, Dr. Majid Sarsangi, Manager of Iranshahr Theatre Hall congratulated New Year and thanked Homa Rousta and other veterans and artists in the hall and said: “I’m very happy that Homa Rousta is with us and honors the memory of her late husband Master Hamid Samandarian. Whenever I see you his memory be fresh. I hope to be good student for him.”
After speech of Majid Sarsangi, Homa Rousta rang the start ring of the play. Then after, presebt artists in Iranshahr Theatre Hall signed the poster of the play as a memoir, and then they went to Nazerzaeh Kermani Hall to see “Taming the Shrew”.
It is good to know that Koroush Asadollahi translated the text to Persian.
“Taming of the Shrew” is one of the most famous comedies of William Shakespeare which is directed by Maryam Kazemi and will be performed until April 8th at 8.30 p.m. in Nazerzadeh Kermani Theatre Hall.
