Dramatic Adaptation from Ingmar Bergman’s “Persona” Movie

“Persona” play directed by Melika Razi is staged from April 6th in Entezami Theatre Hall of the House of Iranian Artists in Tehran.
Iran Theatre- Melika Razi, director of the play which is a free adaptation from Persona movie directed by Ingmar Bergman said: “I like dramas and literary works that women are central characters of them.”
“Atmosphere of “Persona” movie and relations between its characters are friendlier but in the play I have less atmosphere like that and there are some struggles between characters sometimes. In fact, I made another vision to that atmosphere.”
Razi talked about necessity of using multimedia in this performance and said: “I used multimedia because I felt that it will fill the blank spaces in the text. 70 percent of entire work is by flashlight and this is back to my interest to have surreal atmospheres. With using actors’ ability and multimedia I made different atmosphere. In my eyes, I could reach to the atmosphere and communication with the audience I wanted.”
“Persona” play directed by Melika Razi with acting Safoura Kazempour, Pazhand Solaymani, Saeed Laylabadi, and Houshmand Honarkar is being staged from April 6th in Entezami Theatre Hall of the House of Iranian Artists in Tehran.
