“Strindberg Play” Will Be Read and Performed

Elena Aahi, a member of Ka Drama Group, said that a play-reading of “Strindberg Play” would be directed by Kourosh Sassanian.

Ms Elahi told irantheater.ir that such performance was staged in Iran Artists Forum last year in the presence of Iraj Raad, former director of Theater House, to commemorate birth anniversary of  the legendary director Samandarian.

She added that the group performed at Sarv Cultural Complex on the occasion of the death anniversary of Mr Samandarian and paid tribute to his students such as Michael Shahrestani and Mahmoud-Reza Rahimi.

“Kourosh Sassanian and I, who are heading Ka Drama Group, are both students of Mr Samandarian,” she said and added that they would perform such programs each year to commemorate their teacher.

Elena Aahi, Nima Zaker and Iran Masoudi will cooperate with Kourosh Sassanian in performing the reading of “Strindberg Play”. Shahrzad Bayani is the assistant director and Artin Haratounian the photographer.

The performance will take place on July 14 at 19:30 in Mehrab Theater Complex.
