All My Sons in Niavaran

“All My Sons”, a play by Arthur Miller-- a writer who narrates tragedy in the modern age--will stage in Niavaran Cultural Complex.
Danial Shahriari will stage “All My Sons” on the outdoor area of Niavaran Cultural Complex from July 27 to August 12.
“All My Sons”, which is to be directed by Mr Shahriari, is translated in Farsi by Hossein Parvareshi.
Written in 1947, the idea of the drama was found by Arthur Miller in a true story. It is Mr Miller’s first commercially successful play. The US playwright talks about social responsibility in this drama.
The play revolves around a businessman who is accused of sending defective air plane parts (the cylinder heads) from his factory to WWII, leading to death of 21 pilots.
Most of Mr Miller’s plays are about the responsibility of the modern man towards the society. Mr Miller had been a prolific playwright who played an outstanding role in the American literature and cinema. His career spanned six decades. His “Death of a Salesman” is one of the leading modern tragedies. He was one of the greatest dramatists of the twentieth century.
Babak Jafarieh, Halimeh Norouzi, Ahmad Safarzadeh, Mahdieh Zandieh, Farzad Ayati, Ali Ghorbankhani, Parvaneh Shamekhi, Mohammad Reza Zolfaghari, Barad Rohani will play in the play. Behzad Torabi is assistant director, Pouneh Samadian costume designer, Mahboubeh Mirzaei the make-up artists and Hossein Banan poster and brochure designer.
The play is to be staged every night at 8 pm except for Tuesdays.
