Nine Countries in Tehran-Mobarak International Puppet Festival
Seven Stage & Two Outdoor Plays to Perform
Tehran-Mobarak 16th International Puppet Festival hosts plays from nine countries in the international section.
Seven foreign plays will be performed on the stage and two in the open space of the festival, irantheater.ir reported.
“Writer” from the Netherlands, “The Magic Flute Player” from the Czech Republic, “Odyssey” from Russia, “The Spirit of Truth, the Life of Mahatma Gandhi” from India, “Peter the Tiger” from Ukraine, “Shirin” from Afghanistan and “Magical Journey” from Germany will be performed in the stage.
Outdoor plays include “Colorful Dinosaurs” from Spain and “A Poet from Sun & Moon” from Poland.
The plays will benefit from different techniques such as shadow, marionettes and giant puppets.
Tehran-Mobarak 16th International Puppet Festival will take place on August 22-28 in the capital. Marzieh Boroumand is the secretary.
