The ten-day of munificence, which starts with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) and ends with the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), is an opportunity for the country’s art society to create valuable art pieces, which promote religious culture and Quran teachings compatible with the needs of the Islamic society in coordination with the lovers of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) household and the servants of the shrine of the eight Shia Imam. The shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and its thousands of pilgrims is a blessing to spread spirituality, ethics, virtue and solidarity by benefiting from religious teachings and unique capacity of language and expression of art.

The theater artists either the youngsters or veterans have broadly come to the front to institutionalize, deepen and update the religious matters and valuable spiritual points in line with their cultural responsibility to develop an exemplary Islamic society in a country which is proud to host the holy shrine of the eight Shia Imam Reza (AS).  

I am hopeful the new horizons of religious and cultural illumination will pave the ground for the presence of our esteemed and cultured artists in religious-oriented art activities as we have seen significant developments in recent editions of Razavi festival.

Graceful and influential texts and coherence of Razavi Theater Festival in its stage and play writing sections as well as policy-making sessions with Noth Khorasan province’s cultural and administrative officials are among happy events that promises a better future for Razavi Theater Festival.

The promotion of the divine approach of religion and the culture of compassion of Imam Reza (AS), who protected the ensnared deer, are undoubtedly among unique subjects in dramatic art with aesthetic aspect and artistic expression in today’s world with Islamophobia and fake propaganda to alienate the true religious culture is on the agenda of those against Islam. This could help produce valuable art pieces based on educational and intellectual fundamentals of the religion.

I wish success for all the responsible officials of Razavi Theater Festival as well as the esteemed artists, the jury and the secretary whose shining presence have increased the quality of the festival. I praise and express gratitude for them and wish God would help development and excellence of Islamic Iran’s culture and art.

The 11^th Razavi Theater Festival opened in North Khorasan province today. Mahmoud Azizi is the secretary of the festival. The festival will close on August 10.
