35th Fadjr Int’l Theater Festival
Director of Playwriting Competition Appointed
Saeed Asadi, the secretary of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, appointed Milad Akbarnejad the director of the competition section of playwriting.
Milad Akbarnejad, a prolific playwright, will be serve at the capacity of directing the competition section for playwriting of the event, irantheater.ir reported.
Mr Asadi assigned the new director to chase and supervise the top 10 plays, which would be introduced by the jury after reading and evaluating the applicants. Besides paving the ground for introducing the top plays to theater artists, experts and groups, Mr Akbarnejad had to help publishing the top plays.
Born in 1975 in Ashkenan, Fars province, Mr Akbarnejad holds master’s degree in theater direction from Tehran University. He has written several plays including “Shahrzade Hourolhoveizeh”, “Shakespeare April 1999”, “Shakespeare Blood 2003”, “Danton”, and “Awaken in Nuremberg”.
Mr Akbarnejad received some national and international theater awards. His play “Nightmare When Cappuccino Finished” received the top writer award of the Fadjr International Theater Festival. Also he awarded the top writer of the Second Ashura Theater Congress for “It Is True”. Some of his plays are published.
The 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival will take place in Tehran on Jan 20-31.
