“Brigadier” Reached Festival

General Intendant of Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe Peter Spuhler attended the Razavi National Theater Festival on its fourth day of the event on Monday.

Mr Spuhler watched some pieces during the event, irantheater.ir reported from Bojnourd, North Khorasan province on Monday.

Stressing his interest in Iran theater, Mr Spuhler said that the country’s dramatic art had high potentials, which could help it cooperate with the European theater.

Meanwhile, a workshop – “Adaptation from Sources & Written Narrations for Writing Religious Play”- will be held today in the morning and evening with the presence of Mehdi Nasiri. “Life in the Year Zero”, which is written by Mohammad Reza Qasemi and directed by Pouyan Ataei from Isfahan, will be staged in the evening.

“Return to the Last Wednesday of the Year”, which is written by Raouf Dashti and directed by Reza Hosseini from Mashhad, and “Brigadier”, which is directed by Nader Borhani-Marand from Tehran, will be staged today.

“Brigadier” is taking part in the special section of the festival. Hedayat Hashemi, Mir Taher Mazloumi, Ayoub Aghakhani, Nahid Moslemi, Nasim Adabi, Ahmad Kaavari, Seyyed Ali Salehi, Fereydoun Mehrabi and Neda Kouhi play in “Brigadier”.

Borhani-Marand tells the story of a brigadier, who is in coma in a hospital adjacent to the holy shrine of the eight Shia Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad. The story is set in the hospital room where the audience gets familiar with the brigadier and his mental situation.

Ezat Mehraavaran will have naghali, telling stories of ancient Iranian fables, in Playground and Morshed Mostafa Saeedi in Golshan Complex at 21:30.

The festival will close tomorrow.
