In Private Theater of Koneshe Moaser
Behnam Tashakor to Stage “Star Spangled Girl”

“Star Spangled Girl”, which is written by the US playwright Neil Simon, will be staged in private theater of Koneshe Moaser from August 25. Behnam Tashakor is directing the piece, which is translated in Persian by Shahram Zargar.
The piece was staged in 2013 in Niavaran Cultural Complex in Tehran and cities of Shiraz, Gorgan, Rasht, Babol and Chalous by “Etude” Theater Group.
“Star Spangled Girl” is a romantic comedy telling the story of two leftwing journalists in the US, working on their magazine Fallout. Sophie, a former Olympic swimmer, moves into their next-door apartment. Her presence threatens the magazine and friendship between the two men.
Behnam and Bahram Tashakor and Sara Rasoulzadeh are the cast of the show.
Behnam Tashakor received the top actor award of Iran’s Association of Theater Critics for playing in the “Star Spangled Girl”.
Hesam Emam is the production director and advisor, Aida Yazdani the poster designer, Nima Ghorbani the brochure designer, Nikzad Tavalaei the photographer, Kianoush Akhbari the art advisor, Melika Momenirad the media advisor, Amir Tashakor and Benyamin Bahadoran the direction team and Naghshe Moasere Farda Art Cultural Institute is executing the piece.
“Star Spangled Girl” will be performed until September 20 at 20:30 each night.
