Tehran Puppet Festival
“Odyssey” to Perform in Iran
“Peter the Tiger” from Ukraine and “Odyssey” from Russia and “The Writer” from the Netherlands are among participants of the international section of Tehran-Mobarak 16th International Puppet Festival.
“The Writer” tells the story of a university of student of literature who is writing his master dissertation. His thesis is about a certain writer. The students enters the world of the stories of the writer.
The show is for adults and is performed in English with the Persian subtitle. The puppets are giant.
The Russian group will have “Odyssey” in the festival as foreign guest. The show will take a different look into the famous Odyssey story and is performed for families, using top table technique.
“Peter the Tiger” from Ukraine is for the children and tells the story cub, who is living and growing up in a jungle in Africa. The show is musical, using different puppetry techniques.
