Reza Moatarian Appointed Director of Photography Competition & Exhibition

Reza Moatarian is one of the country’s creative and experienced photographer in theater field. He was the director of the festival’s previous edition too.

Mr Asadi, in his decree, urged Mr Moatarian to draft the call for the photography section and submit it to the secretariat to be announce publicly. A special form to be filled for registration of photos in the secretariat should be drafted. Also, introduction of the jury to the secretary, chasing and supervision of the process to choose the top works, defining a guideline for the judgment and following up the process to publish the photos in coordination with the secretariat as well as holding a photo exhibition during the festival are among other responsibilities of Mr Moatarian.

Born in 1969 in Mashhad, Reza Moatarian has started photography in 1989 in the Art Center of the Islamic Propagation Organization. He worked in domestic newspapers such as Iran, Hamshahri, Aftab-e Emrooz, Sobh-e Emrooz and Shargh. He is a self-educated photographer, who has received three photography awards from the media festival. He has held several individual and group exhibitions in Iran and abroad.

The 35^th festival will take place in Tehran on February 1-11. Saeed Asadi is the secretary.
