“Dr Mosaddegh’s Nightly Reports” Hosts Deputy Minister & President Advisor

Mohammad Ali Najafi: True Historical Plays Penetrate Unconsciousness

Mohammad Ali Najafi, an advisor to president, and other political figures watched “Dr Mosaddegh’s Nightly Reports” on Thursday.

Mr Najafi told irantheater.ir that although the history could be learned through books, the plays on historical and political figures teach lessons to the younger generation.

“The importance of pieces on history is that they take the events into the nation’s unconscientiousness,” he said.

Mr Najafi stressed that he enjoyed “Dr Mosaddegh’s Nightly Reports”, which was a good show.

“The lives of the political figures are categorized in two groups in Iran. Those approved by the nation and those praised by the rulers,” Mr Najafi said. “Those who approved by the nation will never die as Dr Mosaddegh who is still alive for the people.”

Dr Sourena Sattari, deputy president for science and technology, Ali Moradkhani, deputy culture and Islamic guidance minister for artistic affairs, Mohammad Hossein Saffarharandi, Ali Akbar Safipour and the family of Dr Mosaddegh watched the show.

Directed by Asghar Khalili, “Dr Mosaddegh’s Nightly Reports”, is a report about the 1953 coup, which led to overthrow of Iran’s then Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, his trial and surrounding events.
