“The Director’s Eye” & “Dramaturgy: A Revolution in Theater” to Be Published

Samad Chniforoushan has translated two books “The Director’s Eye” by John Ahart and “Dramaturgy: A Revolution in Theater”.

Samad Chniforoushan had introduced “The Director’s Eye” as a comprehensive textbook for actors and directors at all level, irantheater.ir said.

He added that John Ahart had written a book, which was inspired by his experience of direction, in seven chapters including an educational and rehearsal sample.

The introduction to the translation of “The Director’s Eye” was written by Massoud Delkhah. Mr Chniforoushan’s translation will be published by Qatreh Publishing House.

John Ahart is a top professor at the Illinois University. He has received honors for his career as director, teacher, manager and coordinator in the US.

Also, Mr Chiniforoushan is working on a translation of “Dramaturgy: A Revolution in Theater”, which is a research book. The book can serve as a handbook for dramaturgy in which the history, meaning and function of dramaturgy are explained. It includes the answers about dramaturgy to the readers. The book is comprised of experiences of dramaturgy in Germany, Britain and the US.
