8 Iranian Groups to Perform in Armenia

Albert Beigjani, Secretary of Iran Section of HIGH FEST International Performing Arts Festival, said that the event would host eight Iranian pieces and a workshop this year.

Secretary of Iran Section of HIGH FEST International Performing Arts Festival said that the eight pieces representing Iran were coming from cities of Tehran, Arak, Kerman and Birjand, irantheater.ir reported.

He said the eight pieces include;

  • "Immortality", directed by Nima Dehghan from "Tajrobeh" Group from Tehran
  • "Residues", directed by Kayvan Nakhaei from "Moalef Theater" Group from Tehran
  • "Said You Will See Today and Tomorrow and the Day after Tomorrow", directed by Zohreh Behrouzinia from "Arya" Group from Tehran
  • "Suitcase & Pussy Dog", directed by Albert Beigjani from "Daymack" Group from Tehran
  • "What Time Is It…?", directed by Elaheh Pourjamshid from "Negah" Group from Tehran
  • "Macbeth", directed by Ofogh Iraji from "Koucheh" Group from Arak
  • "Third Person", directed by Ehsan Kheirmand from "Zaar" Group from Kerman
  • "The Bride of Acacia Flowers", directed by Maysam Sadra from "Mim" Group from Birjand.

The pieces will perform in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, he said and added that a workshop, titled "Street Theater Actor" will be held by Kayvan Nakhaei in the festival.

HIGH FEST International Performing Arts Festival will take place in Yerevan from October 1 to 8, Mr Beigjani said.

He added that 55 pieces from 20 countries such as Germany, Uzbekistan, Japan, Poland, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Georgia, USA, Greece, Russia and Iran would take part in the festival.
