Zohreh Behrouzinia Given Best Director Prize of AnimArt World Puppet Carnival

"Said You Will See Today and Tomorrow and the Day After Tomorrow" received the top director award of AnimArt World Puppet Carnival.

The piece, which is written by Nima Dehghan, directed by Zohreh Behrouzinia and starred by Mehrnoush Shariati, was performed on September 24-30 in the city of Lodz in Poland. The piece, which tells the story of Hallaj, a Persian mystic, through a woman, was given the best director award in the event.

Twenty-eight countries took part in the festival.

"Said You Will See Today and Tomorrow and the Day After Tomorrow" was staged in Tehran in Sayeh auditorium of the City Theater in October and November of 2010. Hoda Naseh, who was the puppet performer of the piece, is replaced by Mehrnoush Shariati. Other team members such as set designer, Ramin Sayyardashti, lightening designer, Reza Behjati, writer and director have seen no change. Farzad Fazli and Behzad Abdi are the music composers of the show.

A woman, who is wife of Hallaj will tell his story for the audience. The piece aims to break the accustomed picture that audience or reader has in mind through history.  

The piece tries to tell the story of the loneliness a woman of many women of this land of heroes and brave hearts who stays and witnesses the martyrdom of their beloved ones.

The show has so far been staged in Prague and Kazakhstan festivals and received awards for the best actor and the best play.
