Mandana Karimi:
Operetta Will Make Children Familiar with Noble Music

Mandana Karimi, the director of Parpari Operetta, said that operettas are written academically which make children familiar with quality music.
The writer and director told irantheater.ir that the operettas usually are written for children and are aimed at promoting their taste of music.
Karimi, who has performed Parpari Opetetta on the occasion of the World Children Day, said that the operetta was her third cooperation with Pars [Children] Music Group after Pirhan Zari (Golden Dressed) Rooster in 2014 and Pond, an adaptation of the story of deer and bird by Persian poet Nima Yushij, in 2015.
On the possibility of public performance of the operetta, she said that 300 children and a 50-member team of musicians performed it. “This high number will make the task difficult. However, I have spoken to producer for public performances but nothing is certain yet, especially as the school year has just started and we should take permission from families.”
Parpari Operetta was directed by Mandana Karimi. Naser Nazar was the conductor of the operetta, which is written by Yana Synkoa and re-written by Mohammad Charmshir. Lorena Odisian was the choreographer and set designer.
The operetta was performed on the World Children Day on September 29-30.
