Vahid Nafar:

“Everything Passes but You” Opens a Modern World for Actors

Director of “Everything Passes but You” is a good text for showing the talents of actors.

Vahid Nafar, who is going to take “Everything Passes but You” on stage since next weekend, said that he had always been interested of directing a piece, written by Mohammad Charmshir, irantheater.ir reported.

“I was interested in Mohammad Charmshir [‘s plays] when I was a student. I was proud of playing in many pieces directed from the plays of Charmshir and touch his writing world,” he said and added, “I was actually started my professional career with a play by Charmshir. It was “Marjan’s Travelogue”, which was directed by Abbas Aqsami.”

He added that he had to direct the piece for cooperating with a friend (Bita Moayerian) to defend her dissertation in acting at Instructors Training University. “I read the text and liked it a lot because it was a good chance to show the acting potentials. I had to stage another piece in Entezami Auditorium but could not do that due to certain problems. Therefore, I decided to replace this piece because of time limit.”

On changes to the play, Mr Nafar said that the main character in Charmshir’s text is a man but he had changed it into a woman. This change in the gender of the main character had led to small changes.

Mr Nafar said that the show would be performed only for 18 nights in Entezami Auditorium of Iranshahr Theater, complaining that the time was limited for the performance of the piece.

He added that he would try to find a private auditorium to stage the piece if it would have been warmly welcomed by the audience.

Mr Nafar called on acting students and trainees to watch “Everything Passes but You” because it could open a world for them to know how to use their body and language capabilities, inviting them to a challenge.
