Armenia Award for a Translator
Anderanik Khechoumian Receives Kantegh Literary Prize

Anderanik Khechoumian, a member of Iran’s Playwright Association of Theater House and translator of Hamoun and the Sea claimed the annual Kantegh (light) literary prize.
Anderanik Khechoumian, the noted Iranian-Armenian translator, who has translated many book from Armenian to Persian and vis-à-vis received the prize for translation on October 8, irantheater.ir reported.
Kantegh literary prize is awarded by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Writers' Union
of Armenia every year to translators, chosen from lots of writers and translators.
Mr Khechoumian, who has so far translated 28 books from Armenian to Persian, can serve as a bridge for literary and cultural communications between the two countries.
