On Monday, Funeral of Dr Saeed Kashen-Fallah Held

A Man Who Never Stopped Working

Students, professors, officials and artists paid tribute to the late actor, director and author Saeed Kashen-Fallah on Monday by attending at his funeral.

Head of Art Center of the Islamic Propagation Organization, Mohsen Momeni, expressed condolences over the sudden death of master Kashen-Fallah, regretting his sudden demise.

“Master suffered a chronic disease for years but he had never stopped of working studiously,” he said, irantheater.ir reported.

Mehdi Shafiei, director of the Dramatic Arts Center, said that he would express condolences on behalf of himself and deputy culture minister for art affairs, Ali Moradkahni, who was absent in the funeral of Mr Kashen-Fallah, due to tight schedule.  He added that officials and those who were familiar with him were mourning over his sudden death.

Mr Shafiei said that Mr Kashen-Fallah revived theater after the 1979 Islamic revolution. Many of the new generation of Iran’s art society were either his student or the students of his students. “Members of the new generation of Iran theater are his students,” he said and praised his efforts for Iran theater despite his disease.   

Dr Mahmoud Azizi, actir, author, director and university professor, said, “Wherever I look, I see footsteps of Saeed Kashen-Fallah in Iran theater over the past four decades. He strongly supported Iran theater alone.”

Mr Kashen-Fallah, author, director and actor, who suffered from diabetes and had undergone dialysis for years, died suddenly on Saturday in Hamedan when traveling with his family from Kermanshah to Tehran.

Mr Kashen-Fallah was active in the film and theater industry. He started in two movies, ten television films, 12 TV series and 50 theater shows. Mr Kashen-Fallah wrote articles on culture and media, acting in war movies, play reading and … His studies helped launch specialized library of Islamic art in Britain and Ireland and publishing house at Art University in Tehran.

Mr Kashen-Fallah had a successful career as manager of the Dramatic Arts Center of Art Center in 2014. Director of Short Theater for Youth (fourth edition), seven editions of Mah National Theater Festival, one edition of Pantomime National Festival and one edition of play writing for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
