Different Cities to Get Touch of Religious Pieces

Director of Religious Theater Center says pieces, which are being performed under Ashura to Arbaeen (October 12-November 30) Plan, will be supported financially by the Dramatic Arts Center and Religious Theater Center and fortunately there are good cooperation from smaller cities for performances.
Mahmoud Farhang told irantheater.ir that some stage and street theaters would be performed under the plan. Finance had always been an issue for theater groups but the problem was solved by financial supports from the Dramatic Arts Center and Religious Theater Center and cooperation from cities was to offer auditorium and stage facilities, which was really good.
Farhang said that the center had held several editions of Sahebdelan Festival in which stage and street theater, Naghali and Pardeh-Khani were performed. The pieces which were admitted in previous editions and did not get a chance were invited to submit works again, he added.
The official said that 15 stage pieces and five street works had been selected to have public performances under Ashura to Arbaeen plan.
The pieces would be performed from October 27 to November 30 in cities other than Tehran, he said, adding that the performances in the capital have already begun.
Farhang predicted that the audience would welcome the pieces warmly, especially that majority of groups are well-known with years of experience.
