Ferdowsi Hotel to Host Meeting of West Asian Countries, General Directors of Performing Arts

The Meeting of West Asian Countries, General Directors of Performing Arts will open on October 30 in Tehran's Ferdowsi Hotel and will go on until November 1.
The first meeting of West Asian countries' directors of performing art would open on Sunday in Tehran's Ferdowsi Hotel with attendance of officials from Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, Oman, Qatar, Algeria, Georgia, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Lebanon and Iran, irantheater.ir reported.
The participants would visit Golestan Palace and City Theater –two venues which have played an important role in developing Iran culture and art on Sunday. Ritual and traditional pieces and Ta'zieh passion play, Ashura rituals will be performed in Golestan Palace for guests.
The official meetings and supervisory sessions will take place on November 1 from 8 am. Ali Moradkhani, deputy culture minister for art affairs, art deputy Islamic Culture and Communications Organization, Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Hashemi and deputy minister of science, researche and technology for cultural affairs, Seyyed Zia Hashemi will deliver speeches. Iran theater will be introduced to the participants in the morning and evening sessions.
Marzieh Boroumand, Davoud Fathalibeigi, Shahram Karami, Seyyed Fateh Badparva and Saeed Asaid will introduce puppet, ritual/traditional, children and young adults, Marivan street and Fadjr festivals to the delegations from West Asian countries.
Directors of Iran theater centers and bodies including Theater House, Art Center, Academic Theater, Tehran Municipality’s Art and Culture Organization will meet the delegations too.
