Tehran will host general directors of performing arts of Western Asian countries from October 30 to November 1.

Theater officials and dignitaries from countries such as Algeria, Oman, Iraq, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Azerbaijan Republic, Pakistan, Syria and Qatar are Iran’s guests during the three-day gathering, irantheater.ir reported.

The participants will meet in Tehran's Ferdowsi Hotel. On Sunday, the Iranian hosts will take the participants to Golestan Palace (14:30-17:30) on Sunday, followed by a visit to Tehran's City Theater to watch "The World's Last Pomegranate". Dinner will be served at 21 in the hotel.

The opening ceremony will take place on Monday, starting with reading of holy Quran and the national anthem. The programs include welcoming and announcing the meeting agenda by deputy head of Iran's Dramatic Arts Center for international affairs, Mehrdad Rayani-Makhsous (8:30-8:40). Iran's deputy culture minister for art affairs, Ali Morad-Khani will deliver speech at 8:40-8:50. The deputy Islamic Culture and Communications Organization for cultural affairs, Seyed Mohammad Hossein Hashemi will deliver speech at 8:50-9:00 followed by art deputy of the ministry of science, research and technology, Seyed Ziya Hashemi at 9:00-9:10.

Mehdi Shafiei, general director of Iran's Dramatic Arts Center will deliver speech at 9:10-9:20 on the targets of the gathering and introducing Iran and the potentials of theater in the region.

At 9:20-11:20, theater figures of the countries attending the gathering will deliver speeches, starting with Azerbaijan's director of musical performances, Algismat Lalayev, followed by speeches of Ahcene Talilani, Algeria's supreme representative of culture minister, Sayed Mansoor Rahmani, general director of national theater of Afghanistan information and culture ministry, Natia Sirabidze, Georgia's co-minister of education, culture and sport, Ahmed Hasan Mousa al-Saedi, Iraq's art counselor of cinema and theater of ministry of culture and tourism, Ali Farhat, Lebanon's theater director of culture ministry, Khalid Omar Ahmed al Shanfari, Oman's head of Salasse theater, Muhammad Ayoub Jamali, Pakistan's national council of the arts and deputy director of performing arts division, Saad Yousef Bourschaid, Qatar's head of theater office of culture and sport ministry, Andrey Malishev, Russia's head of governmental supportive department of art and handicrafts of culture ministry, Zoher Ramadan, Syria's head of art unity, Sami Nasri, the representative of Tunisia ministry of culture and head of dramatic arts centers of two provinces.

The reception will be at 11:20-11:30. The initial consultation to write an agreement about joint activities and providing the first draft will be at 11:30-12:00. The participants will have prayer time and lunch at 12:00-15:00.

A film on international theater festivals in Iran will be shown at 15:00-15:10. Then, international festivals of Iran will be introduced to participants at 15:10-16:10. Marzieh Boroumand will introduce puppet show, Davoud Fathalibeigi, ritual and traditional theater, Shahram Karami, children and young adults theater festival, Seyed Fateh Badparva, street theater and Saeed Asadi, Fadjr theater festival.

Theater organizations of Iran will be introduced at 16:10-16:20 and manager of theater centers and agencies will introduce themselves at 16:20-17. Asghar Hemmat will introduce the Theater Forum , Ali Ghorbani, the Art Center, Ataullah Koupal, Theater University and Shahram Karami, Art and Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality.

At 17:00-17:15, there will be another reception followed by second consultation to write agreement on joint activities to provide the final draft in the evening at the hotel at 17:15-19:00. "The Spell of the Burnt Temple" will be shown to the participants at Iranshahr Theater at 20:30.

On the last day of the meeting on Tuesday, the agreement on the joint activities will be reviewed at 9:00-10:30. The reception will be at 11:30-11:45. A press conference of the managers of the participating countries will be at 11:45-13:00. Lunch and final feast will be at 13:00-14:30.
