Message of Ali Moradkhani to Meeting of General Directors of Performing Arts of Western Asian Countries

Theater-Oriented Cultural Ties Valuable

Deputy culture minister for art affairs released a message on the occasion of the Meeting of General Directors of Performing Arts of Western Asian Countries in Tehran, stressing the importance and function of dramatic arts in bolstering cultural ties between countries.

Ali Moradkhani’s message reads; according to irantheater.ir.
No man is stranger with theater. A quick look into different cultures can reveal tangible relations between human and this art, which is generally rooted in religious rituals and ceremonies. Such closeness can be a common aspect of cultural connections, theater-based ties which are valuable and rich. Given theater’s ritual, religious and spiritual roots, we believe that this shining light could illuminate public thought, introduce spiritual truths and guide man towards sublimation through reliance on religious teachings and national beliefs.
If such perspective is the basis of dialogue among culture, it would undoubtedly have many common points for connection. The medium of art with its eloquent language can deepen thoughts, delicate feelings, discover beauties, sublime the thoughts, faith and love and face us with eternal and perpetual truth in its mirror.
I am happy that the Islamic Republic of Iran is hosting one of the most important cultural and art moves in the region and walking towards new and fresh horizons and creative experiences with the cooperation of the regional countries. Participation of international theater experts and officials shows the important status the art of theater occupies. It is hoped effective and useful achievements will be achieved for cultural figures and lovers and we will witness a bright future with their intellectual assistance. Such gatherings and expanding and deepening its agenda, coupled with identification of shining contemporary talents, can serve as a guideline for moving ahead. The presence of the participating countries in the meeting is a beginning for continuation of such international moves.
I thank my colleagues in the Dramatic Arts Center and officials in the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization for their efforts and pray God to help them in the path of serving and developing the Islamic art sublimation.
