Competitors of Int’l Children & Young Adults Theater Fest

Selection Council of the International Children and Young Adults Theater Festival introduced eight competitors of children theater competition and 10 pieces for competition of young adults theater section.
The Selection Council including Ghotbeddin Sadeghi, Hamidreza Naimi, Mohammad-Javad Kaboudarahangi and Reza Abdolalizadeh, in a statement, praised over 100 theater troupes which have staged works across the country over the past year, especially for the quality of their pieces in the young adults section, irantheater.ir reported.
The statement reads; Selection Council praises all artists for their creative efforts. However, it has to choose 18 works due to limited capacity of the festival.
Also, the council chose six pieces from Hamedan province to participate in Hamedan section of the festival.
The children section competitors include “Weird Turtle”, written by Ami Mashhadi-Abbas and directed by Anahita Ghanizadeh from Tehran, “Color Color Painting”, written by Abbas Doustgharin and directed by Bahram Doustgharin from Hamedan, “God Cookies”, written and directed by Arash Sharifzadeh from Tehran, “An Ant Called Anti”, written by Emad Nasrabadi and directed by Mohammad Jahanpa from Mashhad, “Ghamar Khanoum Tent”, written by Ami Mashhadi-Abbas and directed by Behnaz Mehdikhah from Tehran, “City in the Carpet”, written by Elham Ebrahimzadeh and directed by Elham Ebrahimzadeh and Mojgan Behmadi from Mashhad, “Hassan and the Beanstalk”, written by Fatemeh Abtahi and directed by Narges Shirazinejad from Shiraz, “Uncle Norouz and Mother Cold”, written and directed by Javad Ensafi from Tehran.
The council also selected “Nile’s Son”, written by Gita Davoudi and directed by Naser Avijeh from Tehran, “Generals”, written and directed by Amir Mashhadi-Abbas from Tehran, “The Serenade”, written by Slawomir Mrozek and directed by Reza Ravan from Hamedan, “Golden Pumpkin”, co-written by Gita Mortazvi and Razieh Boroumand and directed by Mohammad Alami from Tehran, “Night Shift Truths, Day Shift Events”, written by Reza Saberi and directed by Reza Hosseini from Mashhad, “Tresses for Flight”, written by Mojtaba Mahdi and directed by Roshanak Karimi from Tehran, “One Apple for Two”, written by Manouchehr Akbarlou and directed by Hamidreza Mollahoseini from Tehran, “Accompanying Nightmare”, written and directed by Hamidreza Ranjkesh from Esfahan, “Grey Children”, written by Omid Niaz and directed by Elham Chenani from Khark Island, “After Shock”, written by Sina Shafiei and directed by Mohammad Esmailzadeha from Alborz province for competition in the young adults section.
The pieces, which are selected from Hamedan and to be staged in the cities of the province are comprised of “Singer Mice”, written by Farhad Lebasi and direcyed by Masoumeh Zivari Hosseinipour, “Gol Pari”, written and directed by Mohsen Ghasempour, “Where Is in the Other Side of the Sea”, written by Asadollah Asadi and directed by Saeed Baghbani, “Staying in the Last Situation”, written and directed by Mohammad Mehdi Kalhori, “Arash the Archer”, written and directed by Fariba Yaghoublou and “Mouse and Cat”, written by Hossein Fadaeihossein and directed by Farzad Lebasi.
The 23rd International Children and Young Adults Theater Festival will be held in Hamedan next month. Shahram Karami is the secretary of the event.
