Secretary of 12th Marivan Int’l Street Theater Fest

Seyyed Fateh Baadparva was appointed by Mehdi Shafiei, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, as the secretary of 12th Marivan International Street Theater Festival.

Seyyed Fateh Baadparva, noted director, researcher and actor, is one of the founders of Marivan Street Theater Festival. Mehdi Shafiei, director general of Dramatic Arts Center, made the appointment in a decree yesterday, irantheater.ir reported.

The appointment decree reads, “Marivan International Street Theater Festival, which was organized thanks to the efforts of Kurdistan and Marivan artists in the border city of the Islamic Iran, has just begun its second decade of its life. The festival, which has seen ups and downs throughout its life, has turned into a significant outdoor theater event in the country.

In line with decentralization of policymaking and handing over policies to the country’s provinces, I appoint you as the secretary of 12th Marivan International Street Theater Festival given the proposal of Kurdistan director general of culture and Islamic guidance department.

It is required to coordinate with Kurdistan director general of culture and Islamic guidance department to have a constructive interaction for establishing a powerful solidarity and applying the capabilities of provincial and Marivan’s state and private bodies. Also, benefiting from the valuable potentials of the artists of that land to have knowledgeable and targeted planning is a must. I pray God would bless you with success and pride.”

Seyyed Fateh Baadparva is a former vice chairman of Kurdistan Dramatic Arts Association and director of Cinema Kurdistan. He had been member of the selection council and jury in several domestic festivals.
