Last Day of Reading Top Plays of 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival
Unprecedented Audience Enthusiasm

The last session of reading top plays of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival took place at Mashahir Hall of the City Theater on Thursday. “Private Museum”, which is written by Tahmineh Mohammadi, was read by renowned artists such as Asghar Hemmat and Parisa Moqtadi.

Following the criticism session for “The Snow Warms the Earth”, Milad Akbarnejad, director of the reading sessions of the 35th Fadjr International Theater Festival, handed over the hall to the group of “Private Museum”.
Contrary to previous days, noted figures such as Milad Nikabadi are seen among the participants. Also, Asghar Hemmat and Parisa Moqtadi are among readers of the play, which are applauded by the participants.
Shadi Sarpoulaki starts the reading with her energetic voice, describing the stage for the audience very well. Then the main character says, “Hello…Yes…Hello to you…This is my name…I am Gloria Toufan…Yes sir this is the third time I am answering your question…It makes no difference you or your colleague…whatsoever you are wasting my valuable time!!”
The listeners understand that the main character is a serious person through her tone. Then, the audience would get that Gloria Toufan is a once-successful actress but now she is purged for some reasons. The spectators have to listen to the play to the end to notice why she is purged.
The play is successful in attracting the attention of the audience but the performers stumbled during the reading and disrupted the focus of the audience. However, the reading ended after an hour among the applaud by the audience.
Tahmineh Mohammadi, the young author of the play, said that the idea of writing such as play was by someone else but that was attractive for her to write about a lonely woman who is forsaken.
“The play is the story of a middle-aged woman who had a brilliant art job but is forsaken now and living a lonely life,” she explains.
