Iran Theater Week in Germany
Theater Workshop for Students in France

Jafar Mahyari explained the latest international programs of Zendegi (life) Theater Troupe.
Jafar Mahyari, director and leader of Zendegi Theater Troupe, said that the group agreed with a French theater company to hold educational workshops for Iranian and French artists, irantheater.ir reported.
On strengthening and establishing cultural interactions, he said that the troupe would have various workshops on acting, movement, sound, music and video art for 24 days in France after a call by the group. “The outcome of the workshops will be a joint production, which will have public performance in France,” the director said. “We plan to perform the show in Iran too.”
On choosing the interested individuals for taking part in the workshops, Mr Mahyari said that the selection would be based on their experience, expertise and field of education but the priority would be given to those students who have performance experience.
About the joint production, the director said that certain generalities were agreed upon but it would be finalized based on what would happen in the educational workshops.
On Iran Theater Week in Germany, Mr Mahyari said that the program was planned for June 2017 when four theater troupes and two music ensembles would perform. “Of course, Pardeh-Khaani (storytelling read off a curtain), Naghali (storytelling and recounting stories) and Kheime Shab Bazi (traditional puppet show) will be among performances. We are choosing the works for the cultural week now.”
He concluded that his show “Border”, which is co-production of Iran and Germany, will be performed in Tehran in June, will be performed in the upcoming Hamedan Children and Young Adults International Theater Festival.
Saeed Abbak Bernd Stolberger, Anahita Safikhani, Kristina Forster and Mersad Rahmati (child actor) star in “Border”.
