Director of Dramatic Arts Center Unveils

Poster of 22nd Crimson Tulips Theater Festival

The poster of the 22nd Crimson Tulips Theater Festival was unveiled in the presence of Mehdi Shafiei, director of Dramatic Arts Center, and director of Energy Committee of parliament, Fereydoun Hassanvand.

The ceremony coincided with November 24; the anniversary of a day Andimeshk was bombarded by 54 planes in 1986. The ceremony was attended by artists and media persons, irantheater.ir reported.

Mehdi Shafiei said at the ceremony that people of Andimeshk faced the attacks of the enemy’s bombardment. 

“Andimeshk’s Crimson Tulips Theater Festival is the eloquent language of people who display the idea of peace and calm through theatre with their scars remained of war,” the official said.

Mr Shafiei also praised the cultural potentials and art capabilities of Khuzestan province. He paid tribute to martyrs of the city later.

The ceremony to unveil poster of the 22nd Crimson Tulips Theater Festival was held with the participation of  Mehdi Shafiei, director of Dramatic Arts Center, and director of Energy Committee of parliament, Fereydoun Hassanvand and Armaghan Behdarvand, managing director of Iran Association of Dramatic Arts Center, Mohammad Jourvand, director general of Khuzestan department of culture and Islamic guidance and his deputies as well as Andimeshk governor, engineer Jahangiri.

The festival will take place in south-eastern city in February. Ali Bazgir is the secretary of the festival.
